Beer
At Bitter Root Brewing we craft and package all of our beer on premise in Hamilton, MT. We make 35 to 40 different beers throughout the year with a focus on traditional styles. Our packaged beers are available in Montana and Northern Idaho. We love the opportunity to put our own twist on our small batch and specialty brews and enjoy making them just as much as we love drinking them.

The Bitterroot Flower
You’ll see the Bitterroot flower peppered throughout Bitter Root Brewing’s graphics. This flower is not only the state flower but also has a rich history. Traditionally, the roots were gathered, dried for storage, and used for food or trade. You can find these state beauties growing wild in the shrublands of the valley. The species was named rediviva from the Latin word meaning “reviving from a dry state” referring to the ability of the plant to grow again after having been dug up, dried whole, and stored for months. This plant is strong and withstanding and is the perfect icon to help represent Bitter Root Brewing.

OUR HISTORY
In 1998 Tim Bozik started Bitter Root Brewing in a small automobile garage with dairy equipment he converted into brewing tanks. His goal was to create a family friendly establishment where you could take the kids and get a great, fresh beer. Since then, our business has grown but our principles of great beer and family have always remained.
