Montana born and bred, Chad Lantz began his musical journey as a child and was nurtured, in part, by
his parents love of classic rock. After graduating, he found himself in Missoula. He started playing at open mics around town, where he met several other musicians whom together, formed The Flying Rickshaw. Chad was the front man and sang lead vocals. The local success the band experienced enabled them to open for STYX, and play at festivals with Grand Funk Railroad, WAR, Night Ranger, and other notable bands. They were later awarded the Montana Pabst Blue Ribbon Band of the Year, which eventually led them to relocate to Portland, OR. As is quite often the case for bands, the members parted ways. Chad began playing numerous solo gigs around the Portland metro area and was asked to sing the national anthem for the Portland Trailblazers in front of an audience of 20,000. In 2013, Chad and his family finally made it back MT after a decade away.
Now with new inspiration, Chad is back to playing music in his home state. Chad is a singer/songwriter and plays a combination of his own original songs and cover tunes. His major influences include Led Zeppelin, Cat Stevens, Pearl Jam, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Ben Harper, The Beatles, Blind Melon, Pink Floyd and many more.
